Submit files

Feature description:

As a music or audio professional, you surely often need to share your work with other professionals. To do so, you may stumble upon a Bridge.audio inbox link.

This link means that your recipients are gathering audio submissions on their Bridge workspace. Use it to send your files directly to them, with all proper format and metadata.

How to submit files through an inbox link

  • Open the inbox link.

Here’s the type of page that you will see.

  • Drag and drop the audio files you want to submit, or click the + button to select files from your browser.
Tracks will be displayed, and you can type a title for your submission, along with a text description.

  • a) If you have a Bridge.audio account:

Make sure you are logged in (your avatar or picture is displayed on the upper right side of the inbox page). Click Send. Select the workspace from which you want to make the submission, if needed.

b) If you don’t have a Bridge account:

Click Send. Then you must create yourself a Free account. It only takes a few seconds, as you must provide an email address, create a password, and that is it.

Inbox ways and means:

  • There is no limits on the number of submissions you can send. Your workspace(s) storage are the only potential limit to your usage of other pros’ inbox.

  • A single submission is limited to 50 audio files, and to a total of 1 GB

  • The size limit for each audio file is 367 MB

  • The following audio formats are accepted (same ones as in Bridge libraries):

mp3, wav, wave, flac, ogg, aac, m4a, aif, aiff, aifc, opus, wma, L24

Dynamic submissions:

After sending track(s) through an inbox link, you can still “improve” the files by adding metadata.

Indeed, any track you send are added to your own workspace library. From there, you can open the information window and add data to your tracks.

➡️ Your submission will be updated in the inbox of your recipients.

➡️ Making sure your tracks have all the proper metadata is very important! It increases your chances to generate opportunities.

What can I do if I have an error when selecting files to send?

  • Check that my submission contains less than 50 files
  • Check that non of my files are greater than 367 MB each
  • Check that my submission doesn't exceed 1 GB in total
  • Check the supported audio file formats. Here is the list of the supported audio file formats on a Bridge Library.

What can I do if I don't have enough space on my workspace?

  • Modify submission
  • Select another workspace with more space to host your submission
  • Manage you workspace storage by:
    • Upgrading your plan
    • Deleting some files in your workspace
  • In case you only have one workspace, you can create another workspace to benefit from the 1 GB storage and 50 tracks available on a Free plan storage

Where can I find my submission after sending it?

  • Navigation bar on the left side of your workspace > Sharing section > Shared.
  • You’ll find your Submission in the list of Shared elements

Can I modify the title and description of my submission after sending it?

No. However you can add information, metadata, tags, and even an artwork to your submitted tracks, even after sending them! Use the edit information button next to your track(s) to do so. All the changes you make will be reflected on the submission you’ve sent!

❓ What happens if I delete a track in my library that was part of a submission (or replace the audio file)?

Any deletion or modification of an audio file part of a submission will be reflected on your submission in the Receiver’s inbox.

However, in case the Receiver has saved your files in their own workspace, they will not affect the files in the Receiver’s library, because you can’t modify elements in their workspace.

We recommend to pay attention to any modifications you might bring to files that are part of a submission.
