Prorated invoices and calculations

Plan, members, billing periods. How much you pay for Bridge depends on all of these variables. We're here to help you understand what you're paying for, and track it down in your bills.


Where to find your bills ?

Bills can be found in the Billing tab of your Workspace. You will find in that tab a Billing History section that gathers all of your bills.


⚠️ Only Administrators of the workspace can access that section !


We are a multiple workspace tool. So if you have different workspaces you pay for, you will find the bill for each workspace in the settings of the workspace. There is no place where you can find all the bills for all your workspaces.

How do we calculate your bill ?

1. Your plan :

  • Freemium is free, so no need to talk about bills !
  • If you choose or need a pro plan, you can choose the storage and track quantity needed. We are a pay-as-you-go service, so that you pay the right price for your needs.

How do we bill added members ?

1. The first 5 members are free, for all plans.

2. From the 6th member : each extra member costs 5€/5$ per month, billed annually if you chose an annual subscription, or 10€/10$ per month if you chose a monthly subscription 

What if I upgrade or downgrade my plan ?

How we charge you for upgraded plan : When you upgrade your plan, it is effective right away. The amount you pay is the amount of the new plan you chose, less the prorate of your previous plan.

Example : I paid for an annual pro plan for 6GB on the 1st of January 2023. It cost me 60$. On the 1st of July, I switch to an annual pro plan for 20GB, that will cost me 108$ (price of the plan) - 30$ (half of the period of my previous plan) = 78$

⚠️ Amount can’t be negative 

 

How we charge you for downgraded plan : When you chose a lower plan, you need to finish your current subscription before accessing the new one.

Example : I paid for an annual pro plan for 20GB on the 1st of January 2023. It cost me 108$. On the 1st of July, I switch to an annual pro plan for 6GB. Nothing happens right now, but on the 1st of January 2024, you will be charged 60$ for your new plan instead of a 108$ renewal. 

⚠️ To be able to downgrade your plan, your workspace usage needs to fulfill the requirements of a lower plan. For example, in the previous example, you need to use less than 6GB storage to be able to switch to the 6GB plan.

What if I add or remove members after subscribing to a pro plan ?

How we charge you for added members ? : You are charged right away of the annual/monthly price (depending on your subscription) of a new member.


How we charge you for deleted members ? : If you remove a paid member, you are not refunded. An empty seat is available in your workspace, and you won’t be charged for the next member you’ll invite.


We understand that it’s a bit harsh, so we are currently working to implement following behavior :

How do we charge you for added members ?
Whether you pay annually or monthly, our system checks each month to see if new members have been added.

For each member, we look at when during the billing period you added them. You only pay when the new member joins your workspace.

Billing is retroactive in proportion to the length of time a member has been in your workspace. Here's how it works:

If you pay monthly, this means that when you receive your usual monthly bill (for the upcoming month), it not only takes into account the newly added members, but also incorporates the retroactive charges on a pro-rata basis corresponding to any added members. during the previous billing period. Here is an example :

If you pay annually, this means that you will receive your invoice at the scheduled time (on the anniversary date of subscription to your plan) and that it will contain two elements:
The amount due for each new member over the remaining term of the annual plan.
Retroactive charges for these new members, pro-rated based on how long they've been in your workspace.

 

How do we charge you for deleted members ?
Just like adding members, our system takes stock every month to see if any members have been removed.

In this case, we credit you an amount corresponding to the duration of the member's non-membership in your workspace. You only pay for the duration of effective membership in your workspace.

These credits are immediately deducted from the amount due for your next billing period.

If you pay monthly, the credits are deducted from your regular monthly bill amount.

If you pay by the year, the credits are set aside until your next renewal, from which they will then be deducted. You will see them appear on your next annual bill.
