Share a project

What is a Project?

On Bridge.audio you can use the files in your library to create projects, which you can enrich with a selection of media and documents.

A project really is anything you want it to be. From a playlist to a promo tape, a single track, a bunch of samples, it is all up to you and how you work. We are just here to help you and your collaborators function seamlessly.

Here are examples of beautiful projects you can create on Bridge.audio, in just a few clicks:

Projects allow you to structure your work with your team. Most importantly, it is the best way to share your work with the “outside” through fully custom links, branded to your image.

⚠️  Recipient of your links do not need a Bridge.audio account to open your links and stream/download the files !

Once a project is shared, either via email or a link, you can monitor the activity of the recipients, and modify sharing options in real time.

Create a Project

It is extremely easy to create a project on Bridge.audio:

Click the NEW button on the upper left side of your screen, and select + New Project

You will be asked to name the project and to add an optional description for it.

Your project is born!

The next step consists in adding the tracks you want to the project: click Add, then you can either select the tracks from your library, or upload tracks directly from your desktop.

You can also add extra media and documents to go with the audio.

Last but not least, add a cover picture to your project to make it beautiful and branded to your image. The cover picture can be a photo of you or your band, an artwork, your company logo, or anything you want…

Attachments for projects

From artworks to videos, images, lyrics, PDF, written documents... Bridge.audio lets you add up to 50 attachments to each of your projects!

To do so, simply go to your project, and click the Add button. You’ll then be able to select the files or even the folders you want from your hard drive.

🗂 Here’s the list of attachments formats accepted by Bridge.audio: pdf, jpg, jpeg, png, doc, docx, xls, xlsx, csv, mp4, mov, avi, mpeg.

  • The maximum size accepted for a pdf, doc, docx, xls, xlsx, or csv  file is 100 Mb.
  • The maximum size accepted for an image file (jpg, jpeg, or png) is 25 Mb.
  • The maximum size accepted for a video file (mp4, mov, avi, or mpeg) is 300 Mb.

TIP: you can also directly drag and drop any media or documents into any project 🏀

Share your project

Projects are made to be shared! Whenever you decide to, you can grant custom access to a project, either via email invitation or through a direct link that you can copy and paste at your convenience.

To do so, when you are on a project page, click SHARE.

(Or if you are on your list of projects page, click on the Share icon available on the right side of the line of the project you want to share.)

Then select the sharing method you want to use, Quick Link, Individual Links, or Email

You can choose to use several methods if you want!

About sharing methods:

⚡️Quick Link
🖇️ Individual Links
📧Share by email

About sharing options:
🎛️
All sharing options

With all sharing methods, Bridge.audio offers you unique sharing options allowing you to stay in control. Simply check the options you want to go with.

Options for all links:

  • Allow or not Streaming: If you disable that functionality, the persons you send your project to won’t be able to stream the track of your project. Of course, you and your team will still be able to stream the tracks of the project within your workspace. Options only affect the recipients.
  • Allow or not Download: If you choose to allow download, we let you choose whether your recipient can go for a MP3 download version of the tracks, or an Original quality download, meaning in the format you originally uploaded your tracks (such as AIFF, WAV, etc). Keep in mind that your recipient will be able to either download tracks individually, or download the entire link with all tracks as a ZIP file.
  • Set a custom password for one or all of your links

Options specific to projects

  • Include or not: the project description
  • Include or not media and documents: meaning all the extra files you included with the project, such as videos, images, documents...

🏋🏼‍♂️ DYNAMIC LINKS

Guess what? Your sharing options are not definitive!

You can change them anytime you want in the “Sharing links” tab of your project or other types of shares (album, artist, tracks…). Each parameter is editable individually by clicking in a simple checkbox.

You can also turn on and off your links anytime you want. For specific recipients (specific links) or for everybody.

You don’t have to save the actions you take on the sharing options. The shared page is instantly updated with your new options. Also, changing the sharing options will not affect the link’s URL! It remains the same no matter how often you modify the sharing options.

Adding and removing content in a project

At any moment, you can add or remove files from a project, even after you’ve shared it. All the existing links will automatically update. We call them “dynamic links” 🏋🏼‍♂️

That is true with:

  • audio tracks
  • media and documents
  • the text description
  • project title
  • project cover picture

⚠️ If you choose to remove one or several tracks from a project, rest assured! Those tracks will not be deleted from your Bridge.audio library.

Finally, Bridge.audio lets you preview what your project will look like with its specific options before you send it.

Duplicate / Archive / Delete projects

Duplicate a project

There are two simple ways to duplicate a project:

  • If you are on the page listing your projects, select the Duplicate icon available on the right side of the line of the project you want to duplicate. Then give a name to your duplicated project, and click Duplicate.
  • If you are inside your project, click the Options icon on the upper right side. Then select Duplicate, give a name to your duplicated project, and click Duplicate.

Archive a project

If you decide to archive a project, remember that such action will disable all the sharing links associated with the project!

There are two simple ways to archive a project :

  • If you are on your list of projects page, select the icon … available on the right side of the line of the project you want to archive. Then select Archive.
  • If you are on your project page, click the Options icon on the upper right side. Then select Archive.

You can access your archived projects by clicking Archived next to projects.

To restore an archived project. Click on the right side of the line of the project. Note that restoring a project will not reactivate its past sharing links. You will have to manually reactivate the links in the sharing tab of the project.

Delete a project

If you decide to delete a project, the tracks that it contains will still be available in your Bridge.audio library.

There are two simple ways to delete a project :

  • If you are on your list of projects page, select the icon … available on the right side of the line of the project you want to delete. Then select Delete. To confirm your decision you have to manually enter “DELETE” in the text entry box.
  • If you are on your project page, click the Options icon on the upper right side. Then select Delete. To confirm your decision you have to manually enter “DELETE” in the text entry box.

    Say goodbye to your project!

Can I add tracks from my computer directly into a project?

Absolutely, it’s actually one of the coolest things on Bridge.audio 🤓

You can drag and drop tracks or even entire folders into a project. It does not matter if the folder contains videos, photos, docs, and/or audio files: everything will be uploaded directly into your project, and ready to be shared!

Note: when you upload tracks into a project, the tracks are also added to your Bridge library.

❓How can I rename a project?

To change the name of a project, open the project. When you pass your mouse over its name, the Rename icon will appear. Click and make the modifications you want on your project’s name. Clicking anywhere else will save the latest edit.

❓Can I add comments to a project?

Not yet! But soon, Bridge.audio will offer the possibility for all workspace members to add comments on their projects.

Tip: In the meantime, you can decide to use the text description in the project to discuss with your team and/or add notes about the work in progress. As you know, when you share the project, you can decide to include or not this text description. In other words: some people use the project description for internal use (and they don’t include it in their links) while others choose to use the text description as extra information for recipients of their links.

❓Can I play/upload videos on Bridge?

Yes you can! You can attach video files to a project (up to 300 MB). All workspace members can stream the videos right from the project page. On the other side, outside recipients of the project will be able to directly stream the video on the link, or download it if they want to.

As a sender, you can decide to allow or not access to the media you attach to projects.
